Going to London (?)
Tuesday evening, as I was getting started on the marketing take-home midterm, I received an email from Amy, the Director of Student Affairs.
"Dear Helen,
Congratulations! Your application for exchange to London Business School for the Fall 2008 semester has been accepted. You had been #5 on the LBS waiting list and a space became available for you this evening."
I looked at the message, considered calling my husband (who had just left the apartment to buy milk), decided to wait until he returned home since he was probably on the phone with his brother, and forwarded the message to a couple of my Haas friends.
Rene, who was also accepted to the LBS exchange program, was the first to reply.
"HELEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! COME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
I'm not sure why there were so many exclamation points, but I got the point that he thinks I should go to LBS next fall.
I need to make the decision by this coming Tuesday. I'm almost certain that I will accept. Living in London has been a dream of mine for several years. What an adventure this would bring!
